SavingHunt is a reader-supported personal finance and lifestyle publication. This page exists to be upfront about how we earn money, so you can make informed decisions about the recommendations you find here.
What we mean by "affiliate links"
Some of the links you'll see in our articles — to products, services, banks, brokers, retailers, or other websites — are "affiliate links." This means that if you click one of those links and complete a qualifying action (a purchase, a sign-up, opening an account, etc.), SavingHunt may receive a small commission from the company on the other side of that link.
This is at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is identical whether you click our link or go directly to the source. The commission is paid by the merchant out of their existing marketing budget.
Our editorial independence
The commissions we earn help fund the time, research, and writing that goes into every guide on this site. But they do not buy a favourable review. A few principles we hold ourselves to:
- We pick what to cover, not the brands. We choose which topics, products, and services to write about based on what we believe will help our readers — not based on which company offered the highest commission rate.
- We don't bury bad findings. If a product we review has a real downside, we say so. If a "best of" list shouldn't include a particular brand, it doesn't, regardless of any commercial relationship.
- We disclose specific relationships when relevant. Where a commercial arrangement could reasonably influence how you read a piece, we'll flag it directly in that article.
FTC compliance
This disclosure is provided in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255: Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising. As an Amazon Associate, and through partnerships with several other affiliate networks, we earn from qualifying purchases.
