This Privacy Policy explains what personal information SavingHunt collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep the language plain. If anything's unclear, please get in touch.

What we collect

We collect two kinds of information:

• Information you give us directly. An email address when you subscribe to the newsletter. Your message and contact details when you write to us. Any account information if you create an account on the site.
• Information collected automatically. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps, referrer), and information collected by cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy for details.

How we use it

• To deliver the newsletter you've signed up for
• To respond to your messages
• To understand which articles are popular and how the site is used (aggregate analytics — not individual profiling)
• To detect and prevent abuse, security incidents, and spam
• To track affiliate referrals — see Affiliate Disclosure

Sharing

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with: (a) service providers we use to operate the site (hosting, email delivery, analytics), under contractual obligations to handle it securely; (b) affiliate networks that need to attribute a referral, limited to the click event itself; and (c) authorities where required by law.

Retention

Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for up to 12 months. Analytics data is retained according to the analytics provider's defaults (typically 14–26 months) in aggregated form.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to certain uses, and receive a portable copy. To exercise any of these rights, email us via the contact page and we'll respond within 30 days.

For EU/UK residents, the legal basis we rely on is: (a) consent — for newsletter signups and non-essential cookies; (b) legitimate interest — for analytics, fraud prevention, and operating the site; (c) contractual necessity — where you've explicitly requested something from us.

International transfers

Our service providers may process information outside your country, including in jurisdictions with different data-protection rules. Where required, we use standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Children

SavingHunt is not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on the site for at least 14 days before taking effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the latest revision.
