At the start of my career, I was a dedicated workaholic, fully immersed in tasks like analyzing data and crafting presentations. However, a mentor once advised me to shift my focus from perfectionism to building connections. This pivotal moment opened my eyes to the importance of relationships in the workplace, prompting me to actively seek out valuable mentors and sponsors.
Finding suitable mentors and sponsors can be challenging, so here are five strategies to help you maximize your career potential.

Understanding the roles of mentors and sponsors is key. A mentor offers guidance and acts as a trusted advisor, adapting to your needs. In contrast, sponsors actively advocate for you, leveraging their connections to create opportunities.
