While Montecito, California, may be an unusual choice for a UK interior designer, a local homeowner chose Jessica Summer for her love of English antiques and understated British style, as Jessica shares.

This philosophy reflects Jessica's design ethos. With six years of experience at Rose Uniacke's studio, she possesses a deep appreciation for historical furnishings, skillfully balancing color, pattern, and texture.

Most of Jessica's projects are based in the UK, particularly in historic homes, which serve as the foundation for her sophisticated contemporary designs. 'We thoroughly research the paneling suitable for a house of that period or the millwork typically used, and we aim to incorporate these elements with respect,' she explains.

What she enjoys most is collaborating with talented artisans. She has curated a remarkable team: James Bowyer creates 'custom masterpieces' in furniture, Butcher excels in plasterwork ('the molding is exceptional'), and James Price specializes in metalwork.

'Having access to such knowledgeable professionals for guidance is invaluable,' Jessica remarks, highlighting why clients are eager to work with her.
