Vancouver holds a special place in my heart with its scenic coastal trails, vibrant berry markets, and excellent craft beers. It's among my top global favorites alongside Buenos Aires, Charleston, and Luang Prabang.
Here's a look at the top five attractions in Vancouver:
Stanley Park
If there's one spot you can't miss, it's Stanley Park. It's simply breathtaking. As an avid runner, I enjoyed cycling along the beautiful seawall and trails. I even found a quiet bench by the beach to jot down my travel thoughts, people-watch, and ponder if I should call this place home.

Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge
Lynn Canyon is perfect for a morning adventure. The highlight is the 50-meter high suspension bridge leading to stunning hiking trails. Best of all, it's FREE! (Don't mix it up with the Capilano Suspension Bridge, which costs $37.95 CAD.) Arrive early to beat the midday crowds.

Brewery Biking Tour
I proudly completed a 20-mile brewery biking tour! (Organized by friends.) Rent a bike and create your own route to explore the city while enjoying local breweries. I loved Powell Street's Old Jalopy Pale Ale, Parallel 49's Gypsy Tears, and Red Truck's Ale. Don't miss Strange Fellows for a modern brewery experience with a stylish taproom.
Tip: Red Truck offers food, making it a great conclusion to your brewery tour. The folks at Powell Street can guide you to a fantastic Chinese bakery (New Town Bakery) for the best steamed pork buns.

Granville Island Market
My favorite seasons are summer and berry season. My first stop in Vancouver was the Granville Island Market. The market was brimming with fresh local apples, fish, vegetables, and an abundance of berries. I indulged in a mountain of berries!

Beaches
Sunset views are best enjoyed at the beach. Vancouver boasts several options such as Kitsilano and Jericho. Each beach features large logs perfect for lounging. Arrive early to claim your log seat!
